In 2005, Dr. Albert Mohler coined the term “theological triage”—an old idea of prioritizing doctrine into primary issues, secondary issues, etc. A more recent example is found in Dr. Gavin Ortlund's book, Finding the Right Hills to Die On: The Case for Theological Triage (Crossway, 2020).
